By I wrote this in response to a question to be answered by a member of my team. I wanted to talk about how I feel about being asked about the subject in the first place. There, I asked if I should paint my new construction home. The answer was “yes.” I was so surprised that I didn’t even know I had a chance to answer that question.
The answer is probably no. Your first instinct might be to say “yeah, that would be awesome.” But a more likely response is, “Um…I’m not sure that’s going to be any more comfortable than painting a house.” Because painting a house will be a lot more labor intensive than painting a piece of furniture. Painting a house is something that you go through a great deal of stress. Your home is one of the most important possessions you have.
A lot of people paint their houses, but the stress is just as real. It took me about five days to paint my new home. I am the least prepared person in the world to paint my house because I am a professional painter. I am not an architect so I have no idea how to plan a home, or how to find the right color. It’s not fun. I’m not just saying that because I’ve gotten a lot of requests for my advice.
Well I don’t have any advice for you. I’m just saying I’ve been through it. I have a new house and it is still in construction. I’m looking forward to painting it, but I can’t do it because I don’t know the colors. I need to find out the colors I can use and the paint colors I should use. It is a very difficult decision because you have to make a ton of compromises.
My advice is: Do not paint. Paint is for living in your home.
A lot of people are concerned about painting their home because it is a big investment. There are a lot of people who think that you should paint your house because you are going to be living there forever. To this I say this: The decision isn’t really about painting your home. It is really about finding the right colors for your house.
The best thing to do is to start thinking about interior design concepts like the “decorator’s dream.” For instance, if you are thinking about painting, you need to look at the colors you are using on walls and the tones in the pictures you are using. This is also a good time to go through the photos and pick up paintbrushes and markers and see where you have painted a similar picture in similar colors.
I think it is also good to look through the photos of your home. It is good to see if you have done the same things in similar colors and tones. It is good to see if the colors you have chosen for your decorating project are going to give your home a nice, “warm” feeling. This is especially important in the summer months when the colors of the rooms change.
When you go through the photos of your home, you can make any possible suggestions. I like to think of it like this: “I have a new house in the woods and I have a lot of people to hang out and decorate. I am going to paint it myself.
You have to paint your new home yourself. When we talk about painting for our own home, we mean it. If you have a contractor or decorator who is going to be working on your home, you have to make sure that your contractor or decorator has the right color and tone of paint colors for the room. Otherwise, you will end up with a really horrible looking home.
