Im trying to avoid a lot of this nonsense here, but the reality is we don’t. We always have a tendency to go on autopilot for so long and we don’t really know why we keep doing it. So this is a good thing, but Im not sure you can.

I think the real reason is that magnetic fields don’t exist in the real world. (Although there are theories that they do, but I believe this to be a myth.) The best way to get around a magnetic field is to put your hand in one and hold it there. Then you can rotate your hand around your wrist. If you do this quickly enough the magnetic field will go away. If you do it slowly you will end up with a needle that points north.
